How to Buy from Temu in Nigeria: Buyer Guide

To buy from Temu in Nigeria, start with the Nigerian storefront, enter your actual delivery address and check the final payment and delivery details before confirming an order.

The product price is only one part of the decision. The selected variant, estimated arrival date, return costs and payment method all affect whether the purchase makes sense.

This guide was checked on 27 October 2026. It explains the buying process using published information; no Nigerian card, checkout or delivery was tested.

What should you check before you buy from Temu in Nigeria? #

Start at Temu's Nigerian website or its official app. Set the destination correctly so you assess the options for your address.

Check that the particular item and basket can be ordered for that destination. A Nigerian storefront does not establish that every product or delivery option is available everywhere.

Also consider why you are buying. Clauses 7.4 and 7.5 of the Nigerian terms include a personal, non-commercial licence and restrictions on using the service for another business without advance permission.

If you intend to buy for resale or on behalf of customers, obtain clarification from Temu about your proposed use. Do not assume a shopping account provides unrestricted wholesale or buying-agent rights.

For supplier sourcing, our 1688, Alibaba and Taobao comparison explains the different routes.

Our Alibaba buying guide covers discussing quantities, specifications and shipping with suppliers.

How do you choose products and place an order? #

Use a short buying checklist rather than deciding from the main photograph alone.

  1. Search for the item and open its full description.
  2. Check the selected colour, size, model and quantity.
  3. Read the dimensions, materials, compatibility and package contents.
  4. Review relevant customer photographs and comments.
  5. Check the delivery estimate and return conditions.
  6. Add the intended item to the basket and review checkout.

A photograph showing several pieces does not establish that the selected option includes all of them. Check whether the listing is for one piece, a set or a particular accessory.

For clothing, use that product's measurements. For electronics, confirm the required connectors and supported devices.

Reviews can help you identify questions to investigate, but they do not independently authenticate every supplied unit. Our counterfeit-goods guide explains why branding claims deserve attention.

Use a complete delivery address and a reachable telephone number. Enter the postcode for the actual location; do not substitute a telephone country code or an invented number.

Save the item description, chosen option, final price and delivery estimate with the order confirmation.

Which Nigerian payment options can work? #

Use the methods displayed in your actual checkout. Confirm the payment currency and amount before approving the transaction.

Verve is relevant here. Interswitch announced Verve acceptance on Temu on 23 March 2025.

That announcement does not establish that every card transaction will succeed. Check the available option, your issuing bank's requirements and any authentication request.

Before paying, confirm:

If payment fails, check the order status and your bank's transaction record before trying repeatedly. Ask Temu and the issuer to clarify a debit without an order confirmation.

Keep passwords, card security details and authentication codes private. Use the platform's official support route rather than a number supplied by an unsolicited message.

Our supplier-scam guide covers wider warning signs when buying goods from China.

How do you compare the full cost before paying? #

Check the basket after the selected items, address and any promotion have been applied.

Read each charge and discount. Confirm what the displayed total includes and ask about anything unclear before payment.

Do not assume a delivery promotion establishes that every other possible charge is zero. Temu's Nigerian terms refer to applicable customs, taxes, shipping and other charges.

Our landed-cost guide provides a fuller cost checklist for separate commercial import projects.

Promotions also need arithmetic. Consider this fictional offer, assuming both baskets otherwise qualify for checkout and other charges stay unchanged:

You have spent ₦5,000 more than planned. The discount can still be useful if you wanted those extra items, but it has not reduced the original basket's cost.

This example is not a current Temu offer or minimum-order requirement.

How do you check delivery time and track the parcel? #

Temu's Nigerian delivery help page directs buyers to the item page and order details for the estimated arrival time. Its definition includes processing and transit.

Use the estimate attached to your purchase rather than a fixed delivery promise from a social-media post.

After ordering, open the relevant order and check its tracking information, parcel details and latest delivery estimate.

If the order has more than one parcel, check each one before treating an item as missing.

For a delay or delivery problem, send support a clear request:

Hello. Please check order [reference], parcel [tracking number]. The order shows [status], and the latest estimated delivery date is [date]. My delivery address is correct. Please confirm the parcel's current status, any action required from me and the next step for this order.

Keep the reply with your order records. Avoid making a second purchase simply because one tracking update is unclear.

How do returns and refunds work in Nigeria? #

The Nigerian return policy, updated 3 August 2026, lists eligible returns within 90 days of purchase, with exceptions. It also requires sending the return within 14 days of submitting the request.

The policy describes self-sending and says the buyer covers return shipping. Check the current item and order terms before purchasing.

To raise a request, open “Your Orders”, select “Return/Refund”, identify the item and reason, and follow the instructions. Keep photographs and relevant packaging while resolving the issue.

If a return is required, use the address on the return-details page. The address printed on the incoming parcel is not necessarily the return address.

Check the refund method before submitting. Temu credit generally cannot be redeemed as cash. An approved refund to the original payment method can also require additional bank processing time.

For a commercial sourcing project, ChinaBridge Global can help assess suitable supplier routes. Send the product brief, quantity, budget and Nigerian destination, then agree the service scope and fees.

What else do Nigerian shoppers ask before ordering? #

Can I buy from Temu in Nigeria? #

Temu has a Nigerian storefront and support pages. Check the particular item, basket and delivery address at checkout before relying on availability, price or delivery options.

Can I pay with a Verve card? #

Interswitch has announced Verve acceptance on Temu. Check whether the option is available for your purchase and whether your issuer approves the transaction. This guide did not test a card.

What is Temu's minimum order in Nigeria? #

Read the requirement displayed for your actual basket. Do not rely on a figure from an old screenshot, another account or a different country. Review the final total before adding unwanted items.

Do I need a warehouse address in China? #

For an order accepted for delivery to your Nigerian address, follow that order's delivery arrangement. Do not enter a China warehouse address simply because the product comes from overseas.

Are returns automatically free for Nigerian buyers? #

Read the current Nigerian policy and your order's instructions. The policy checked for this guide lists buyer-paid return shipping, so include that possibility in the buying decision.

Can I assume a cheap item is suitable for resale? #

Check permission for your intended platform use, the product's suitability and the full commercial requirements. Our mini-importation guide explains the broader business planning involved.

What should I do if the order arrives with a problem? #

Record the issue clearly, keep the order details and contact support through the relevant order. Follow the applicable claim process and deadlines rather than relying on an informal promise.
