How we handle your details
Plain English, because you are trusting us with your passport. Last updated 7 September 2026.
Who we are
ChinaBridge Nigeria is a service operated by TW Digital Business Solutions LTD, a company registered in Nigeria. We are the data controller for the details you give us. You can reach us on WhatsApp through the number on this site, or by replying to any email we send.
What we collect, and why
- To open your file: your name, phone number, email address, what you sell or want to buy, and your rough budget. We need these to contact you and plan with you.
- If you choose the NIN option: we send your NIN to Prembly, a licensed Nigerian identity verification provider regulated for this purpose and receive back your registered name, phone number, date of birth, gender, address and photograph. We do this only when you tick the consent box, and only if the phone number you enter matches the number on your NIN record. We keep a one-way hash of your NIN, not the number itself, plus the photograph and details returned, so we can confirm who we are dealing with. We do not use your NIN for anything else.
- To prepare a visa file: the answers to the official visa application questions, and copies of documents you upload, such as your passport data page, photograph, bank statements and business papers. We need these to complete the official form on your behalf and book your appointment.
- To arrange travel: flight and hotel bookings made with you.
- When you message us: the content of support tickets and emails.
- Automatically: ordinary web server logs and, if you consent to cookies where required, anonymous analytics about how the site is used. Advertising platforms may record that a visit from an advert led to a registration; they do not receive your name or documents from us.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your details or share them with anyone for marketing.
- We do not share your passport or identity details with any supplier, factory or third party except the visa centre and, where you have agreed, travel providers making your bookings.
- We do not ask for your bank card details, online banking passwords or PINs, ever.
Where your details live
Your account, documents and messages are stored on our web server in a private area that is not reachable from the internet, and access to them is limited to the officers handling your file. Emails between us pass through our business mailbox. By default we keep only summary details of your visa questionnaire on the server; the full answers are sent to your officer into your file in the dashboard, where your officer works on it. Documents you upload stay in the dashboard rather than being passed around by email.
How long we keep things
We keep your file for up to 90 days after your visa outcome or the end of your trip, then delete documents and questionnaire answers. We keep your name, contact details and the history of your file for as long as you have an account, so we can help you with a later session. You can ask us to delete everything sooner, and we will, unless we are required to keep a record by law.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and withdraw consent for the NIN check or anything else. Message the desk and we will act on it. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Cookies
Signing in to your dashboard sets a session cookie so we know it is you. If analytics or advertising tags are enabled on the site, they may set their own cookies; you can block those in your browser without affecting your dashboard.
Changes
If we change how we handle your details in any way that matters, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
